About the role

The Guest Services Role is responsible to assist with the day-to-day front-of-house reception duties and back of house duties of the Broken Hill Tourist Park, Sturt Motel, Outback View Holiday Park and Away Cottages. Key responsibilities of this position include:

Receiving and making booking reservations using the Newbook software system - via phone, email, on-line and in person
Face to face customer liaison at the Parks and the Motel including provision of information, dealing with customer complaints in a professional and business aligned manner, handling cash monies, receiving maintenance.
Shared on-call duties, relieving our on-call team members whilst on rostered days off and annual leave.
Following up on guests requests and other customer interactions as may be required
Supporting our housekeeping team in the laundry and ensuring our cleaning standards rival the best.
Supporting our maintenance team with reporting any items needing attention and repair to provide our guests a great experience.
Dealing with customer correspondence and enquiries via email and phone.
Report preparation for daily banking and end of month portfolio responsibilities.
Heart of the role:

You will provide support to our team to ensure they focus on and drive a customer-centric approach throughout their daily tasks and functions.
You will ensure efficient management practices are employed across the park, motel and businesses in areas including front office and customer relations.
As you work with our team you will create and maintain a positive and highly motivated work environment, where our Vision, Values, Code of Conduct and behaviours are demonstrated.
As team member whilst not actively engaged in front of house reception you will ensure the back of house laundry is processed in a timely and efficient manner.
You will perform on call after hours duties as required.
What you'll bring:

Have a great passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating the Visitor Experiences.
Ability to build rapport with guests and fellow team members, in a cheerful, light-hearted and professional manner
Be highly organised and able to plan and monitor your workload both in front of house and back off house.
Be calm under pressure and adaptable to change.
Be experienced in local area marketing and managing of social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram and other social mediums)
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Be experienced in/able to rapidly learn our Reservation Management Software (Newbook)
Be available to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required and occasionally relieve our on-call team members whilst on annual leave.
A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude.
Have skills and experience in conflict resolution.
High level of reliability and able to handle a high level of responsibility.
