Full job description
Are you an experienced Health and Safety Advisor ready for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable professional to join a busy team in the health sector on a 3 to 6-month contract.
Based in Takapuna, you’ll also support other sites across the North Shore and West Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a large, complex organisation that plays a vital role in community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory Health & Safety standards
Support strategic objectives and health, safety, and wellness goals
Provide expert H&S advice and support to staff across the organisation
Promote and enforce safe working practices and environments
Assist with incident and near-miss investigations
Identify and implement corrective actions and lessons learned
Assist with monthly reporting and regular H&S inspections
Manage updates to the organisation’s COVID Safety Plan
Contribute to H&S-related projects and other duties as required
To be successful, you will bring:
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within large, complex organisations or government departments
Excellent understanding of New Zealand H&S legislation and standards
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems
A flexible and adaptable approach to supporting varied tasks across multiple locations
