Mileway is looking to recruit a HR Specialist to become part of our HR team in Amsterdam. You will work on local and international HR topics where besides your hands-on mentality, your visionary mindset will help us grow further. We’re professionalizing our HR department and you can be part of this process, share your ideas and learn everything about setting up HR in an international scale-up environment.
The purpose of your job is that with an eye for detail, accuracy and efficiency, together with your HR Specialists colleagues, you take care of streamlining, organizing, controlling and executing all HR administration for our European offices (the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and growing).
You will report to Manager HR Operations and work closely with the HR Business Partners, all employees and suppliers. The HR team consists of 4 HR Business Partners, 3 Recruiters, 5 HR Specialists, , one of which is this vacancy, HR Process & Data Specialist, DEI Specialist, L&D Manager, C&B Manager and the Head of People.

What You’ll Do
Manage the full employee lifecycle: contracting, onboarding, and offboarding
Process monthly payroll mutations, review payroll output, and ensure accurate and timely salary payments
Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries
Support immigration and expat processes, including applications and compliance with local labor laws
Coordinate with external vendors on insurance, social security, pension, and other benefits
Maintain and improve our HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors) to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency
Handle digital personnel files, staff correspondence, contract changes, and general HR documentation
Manage absence administration (e.g. sick leave, parental leave, long-term illness)
Prepare and analyze country-specific HR reports
Drive and support HR projects, from process improvements to policy implementation
What You’ll Bring
Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Up to 10 years’ experience in HR Operations, preferably in an international setting
Proven experience managing payroll processes and mutations
Strong communication skills in English (additional European language is a plus)
Advanced Excel skills and strong command of HR systems (preferably SAP SuccessFactors)
Ability to act with urgency, suggest and implement improvements, and manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and a strong sense of confidentiality and integrity
Solid understanding of local payroll, labor laws, and compliance requirements
Enthusiasm for digitizing and optimizing HR processes
A flexible, collaborative mindset and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
