To be eligible for this opportunity you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent experience
Understanding of the compliance, legal and industrial relations environment in which the business operates
Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, employee representatives, union officials, legal practitioners and other stakeholders
Knowledge of HR trends against industry best practice
Change methodology and project management expertise
We are looking for someone to:
Provide day-to-day human resources support locally in NSW across Keolis Downer Hunter/Newcastle (KDH) and North Shore/Northern Beaches (KDNB) due to the complex ER and IR environment as well as contributing to support state and general managers across KD Bus as part of a shared HR services model working with the business to ensure our ability to attract, retain, develop and manage a highly engaged and committed workforce whilst providing support in all HR matters either directly in NSW or indirectly by partnering with business leaders across the group.
Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and projects to enhance capability across the organisation, aiming to increase our staff engagement, empower our managers, improve cooperative and innovative behaviours and overall upliftment of the Keolis Downer Bus employees.
Assist the KD Bus subsidiaries with various HRBP needs as required under the direction of the Head of HR.
What you will do:
Under the direction of the Head of HR, you will work in partnership with the Executive team and state managers to ensure the effective implementation and management of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures across KD bus that provide an optimal working environment and promote a culture of excellence and performance.
Provide subject matter expertise, coaching and recommendations in relation to key processes throughout the employee lifecycle from attraction, onboarding, retention, development and offboarding to Executive team and state managers across KD Bus and partnering locally in KDNB/KDH for support.
Assist locally in day-to-day HR support partnering with management across KDNB/KDH in matters relating to employee relations matters, grievances and other business decisions including employee conditions, disciplinary action, counselling, redundancies and terminations as required under the direction of the Head of HR.
Assist locally in day-to-day management of KD’s industrial relations environment partnering with management across KDNB/KDH including enterprise-based agreements, award interpretation, dispute resolution, legal interpretation and legislative compliance under the direction of the Head of HR.
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of performance management policies and practices at all levels of the business that align individual performance/behaviour to strategic imperatives.
Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of the KD Bus HR Strategy and Plan including development of KPIs and complete implementation initiatives and projects assigned as part of the process.
Assist regional resources with initiatives and projects to ensure relevant HR, WHS and EEO legislative compliance and people management capability across KD Bus that promote employee engagement, the maintenance of a harmonious work environment and comply with legislative requirements.
Actively contribute to sharing best practice, insights, and utilising collective resources to improve people management capability of managers and leaders across KD Bus throughout the employee lifecycle as part of the KD Bus HR team in partnership with Executive team and state managers.
Monitor legislative changes and stay up to date with industry trends and requirements for HR and the passenger transport industry to provide proactive solutions and ensure compliance and best practice across KD Bus shared HR services model.
Assist with monthly or ad hoc HR or relevant contract reporting as required and other Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of HR.
