Your New Role
As the Incident and Injury Manager, you oversee early intervention and manage health, safety, incident, and injury processes across our business. This role acts as Aware Super’s nominated Return to Work Coordinator and is a key contributor to managing both physical and psychological health and safety risks.
In this role, you will :
Manage workers' compensation claims, injuries, rehabilitation, and return to work planning
Function as the primary point of contact for Workers Compensation Insurer(s) and Preferred Providers
Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation planning
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and keep accurate records
Foster a psychologically safe ‘speak up’ culture to drive transparency in WHS reporting
How do you exceed our expectations?
To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of WHS and injury management and have proven experience in end-to-end management of incidents.
In addition, you will have:
Minimum Cert 4 OHS with recent applied practical knowledge & experience
Qualified Return to Work Coordinator with experience managing complex psychological and physical workers compensation claims
Strong analytical, investigative, and reasoning skills
Workers Compensation experience in multiple jurisdictions
Good understanding of wage reimbursement and rate calculations
Demonstrated time management and stakeholder management skills
Experience in supporting the re-design of frameworks and developing processes for the business
Experience working in a White-Collar environment (desirable)
A degree in Psychology or experience managing psycho-social incidents (desirable)
