Lovisa Opportunity:

The IT Infrastructure & Applications Engineer is responsible for the build, configuration, and maintenance of core infrastructure (on-premise and Cloud) and the business applications supported by that infrastructure. In addition, the support, maintenance, interoperability and workplace tooling strategy of SaaS based applications is required.

The IT Infrastructure & Applications Engineer will be responsible for:

Maintaining a highly available and resilient infrastructure and applications platform
Managing all infrastructure services and associated vendors (partners) covering Telecommunications, Unified Comms, Networks (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, VPN), Servers, Storage (including Databases), desktops and core business applications.
Ensure all network connections are properly authenticated (end point devices and users)
Ensure all mission critical systems have business continuity and disaster recovery mechanisms in place and are tested to ensure they will function as intended
Continually look for improvements to Process and Technology and provide supporting arguments for change
Becoming an SME in POS hardware & software, as well as SaaS based applications
Actively track and record Assets in the Asset Database
Troubleshoot and Resolve incidents & problem tickets within SLA via Lovisa ticketing tool
Liaise with Service Desk Analysts for incidents and corrective actions
Vendor and Commercial Management
IT Infrastructure, Application and workplace tooling strategy participation and adherence
Other duties and special projects (Technology or Business) as required.
Be part of Level 2 and Level 3 Infrastructure & Application Support (escalation from Service Desk) and part of a 24x7 on-call rotation for Priority 1 Incidents.
Required skills and attributes:

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an IT Engineer in a predominately Microsoft environment
Strong knowledge and experience with on prem and cloud solutions (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) including AZURE and AWS
Strong knowledge and experience with Virtualisation, Backup strategies, Disaster Recovery, IT Security (including EDR), Network Management (Firewalls, WAP’s, Routers, Switches).
Hands-on experience with Retail stores systems and integrations
Practical experience with Mobile Device Management tools
Practical experience with performance monitoring and reporting tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrated customer service skills and an ability to work with cross-functional teams of varying levels
