About the role
Our Audit & Assurance team supports clients across a wide range of sectors by strengthening trust in their financial statements, systems and processes. We work closely with clients to enhance confidence in the integrity of their information.
Our team is seeking an Intermediate level Auditor for a 6-month fixed term contract during the upcoming busy period. The primary purpose of this role is to provide financial statement audit services to a range of clients in conjunction with the wider Audit & Assurance team. The responsibilities will include the provision of financial statement audits.
Conduct audit testing tasks in compliance with Australian Auditing Standards, professional and ethical standards.
Collaborate with clients throughout the audit process by establishing a good professional relationship to help ensure successful delivery of audit service.
Enhance team and client technical knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of work practices and systems.
Use technical accounting and audit expertise to enhance delivery of the firm’s audit service.
Skills and Experiences:
Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce or Finance or Business-related degree
Previous work experience in a professional services environment (highly regarded but not essential)
Completed or progressing CA ANZ or CPA accreditation.
Comprehensive understanding of Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards
Solid business acumen and commerciality
Strong research methodology and high attention to detail
Strong time management and planning skills
Decision making and problem solving skills
Analytical and lateral thinking
Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and fellow team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
