INTERNAL EXPRESSION OF INTEREST | PROJECT MANAGER
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join SSI's PMO as a Project Manager. This is available for internal staff to apply to.
About Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects within the construct of SSI’s Project Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for ensuring the PMO has the influence, governance and relationships across the organisation to ensure all projects are completed successfully.
The role will be responsible for leading or overseeing all projects across the organisations, as well as applying and implementing a consistent project management approach for projects across SSI, including large scale tender submission and program implementation (once new funding is secured).
The Project Manager will be responsible for oversight of all projects managed by the PMO and supervision and management of the Project Coordinator.
Success in this role will ultimately be measured by improved project success, business alignment, prioritisation and value to help SSI positively increase its community impact.
About You
Supporting the overall organisation’s Impact Strategy and providing PM advice, you will work as part of the leadership team and move the PMO forward whilst ensuring robust project governance, overall sustainability, and client impact.
You will have a demonstrated track record and passion for stakeholder engagement, project management methodologies and tools, leading, developing and managing teams to achieve positive outcomes.
You will be a champion in supporting a respectful, non-judgemental, inclusive culture that promotes and upholds human rights and maintains an environment of trust, transparency, and accountability.

Essential Criteria
Project Management Qualification
Well-developed data and systems experience
Proficient at using Office 365 applications such as word, excel & power point
Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
Demonstrated ability to carry out the day-to-day project management whilst identifying risks, issues and assessing the impact of actions/options for resolutions, to ensure risks are managed or escalated.
Experience in identifying and managing project delivery risks, including safety and environment given that stakeholder’s behaviour needs to be influenced to implement identified project risk strategies.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage workload
Analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Skills and experience in change and transformation, bids and tender management working in a not-for-profit sector will be highly valued and desirable
