International Sales Manager
GAT SPORT is seeking an experienced International Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team. We are a fast-growing company with an entrepreneurial spirit, focused on exponential growth in the international marketplace. Whomever is chosen for this role, will be someone who is self-motivated and is focused on driving sales results through strategic planning, distribution and execution.
This position will report to the Vice President of Global Sales and will provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
Territories: India/Europe
Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop a strategic executional plan that will deliver key sales metrics and budget initiatives by identifying manufacturing and distribution partners who will help drive growth of GAT products.
• Develop, manage and track all sales initiatives for both new and existing products in all countries of responsibility
• Ensure profitability by selling items above the budget margin thresholds
• Support the International sales director in negotiations to broker both distribution and manufacturing agreements with international regions to maximize overall international distribution
• Meet all timelines for product launches and ongoing sales initiatives, in partnership with Marketing team
• Manage existing accounts and increase sales of your assigned accounts
• Manage international distributors and brokers to provide them with the necessary tools that facilitate sales growth
• Develop and maintain efficient and professional relationships with all international accounts/customers in areas of your responsibility
• Research competitive sales strategies and recommend action plans to enter new market channels and countries
• Research and validate potential customers’ business plans
Requisite Skills and Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or business administration
• 5+ years of experience in International Sales
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet for research, forecasting and strategic planning
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to establish effective relationships with brokers, distributors, and GAT Sport’s leadership and staff
• Ability to conduct professional presentations to internal and external audiences
• Proven initiative to recommend and implement improvements
• Knowing other languages, specially of the target market locations would be considered an asset
Working conditions
Requires travel to international markets, both where current distribution exists as well as where there are potential distribution opportunities
