Job Summary
As an IT Infrastructure Technician at Tennis Australia, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our IT & Digital systems. This includes delivering prompt and effective technical support to our customers, resolving technical issues, managing Service Desk Incidents and Requests, and advocating for the customer when escalation to the wider Technology team is required.
You will be a key member of the team during the Summer of Tennis (SoT), overseeing the preparation, deployment, and support of end-user devices and systems. Your work will directly support the Australian Open and related interstate events.
Key Responsibilities
Provide effective support to Tennis Australia, Member Associations (MAs), Australian Open (AO), and other Tournament Staff, including hardware support, and all internal and external applications.
Keep detailed and up-to-date records of all BAU and Event-related tickets (Incidents and Service Requests) for accurate tracking and resolution.
Create and maintain high-quality, accurate internal Service Desk support and end-user self-help documentation.
Support and maintain TA's end-user technical equipment (laptops, mobile phones, desk phones, monitors, and other peripherals).
Plan and provide fit-for-purpose technical equipment for the AO/Summer of Tennis (SoT) events as required.
Ensure all staff are kept up to date on all outstanding tickets (Incidents and Service Requests) as per the Service Desk communication plan.
Requirements
Intermediate to advanced skills in Windows desktop OS (Windows 10, 11), Microsoft Office 365, smartphones, and Apple Products.
Intermediate experience with the Atlassian stack of products (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, etc).
Completed tertiary degree in Information Technology qualifications or similar.
Proven commercial Service Desk or Technical Support experience.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
