Junior Designer BONDS| Apparel | Pyrmont (7 month FTC)
We have a unique opportunity for a Junior Designer in our Bonds design team. Reporting to the Senior Designer, you have the ability to drive design projects from concept through to execution and have a love of colour and print. This role is highly creative with a focus on option management, functional collaboration, colouring and creating textile repeats, and ensuring the range is cohesive. As well as your seasonal responsibilities you will also be involved in ad hoc project work which will require an efficient response and quick turnarounds. Having strong time management skills, together with a creative response, is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Colour and print expertise
Creating and executing design concepts
Hands on design including fabric selection, fittings and prototype sampling
Management of Management of large seasonal ranges using Product Management Lifestyle systems (PLM)
Collaborating and developing strong relationships with cross functional teams
Ability to work autonomously and as part of broader design function/team
Ability to conduct product presentations
Technical shape development experience
What Skills and Experience do I have?
Proven track record at Design Assistant level
An innovative and creative approach to design
An ability to work quickly and delivering a high output - the pace across the design team is fast and you must be comfortable operating in a busy and fast-moving environment
Collobarative approacht to creating design collections, with the Senior Designer
Highly proficient with illustrator and photoshop is required
