Job Description
To assist in day-to-day laboratory activities related to plant pathology, microbiology, and biotechnology.
Key Responsibilities:

Disease sample collection, isolation, subculture and maintenance/storage of pathogens as per SOPs.
Media preparation for culturing plant pathogens and inoculum preparation for greenhouse disease evaluations and for use in lab experiments.
Assist scientists in conducting research experiments and tests on plant diseases.
Laboratory maintenance, ensure all glassware and equipment are properly sanitized and sterilized and safety of laboratory equipments.
Maintain inventory of lab supplies, reagents and chemicals.
Strict adherence to all laboratory safety policies and procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of bio-hazardous waste.
Record keeping and report generation - document all laboratory procedures, test results, and observations and to assist scientists in compiling data findings into reports, summaries.
Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and microbiological techniques.
Attention to detail and accuracy in recording observations.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with MS Excel / basic computer operation.
Willingness to work in a research farm/lab environment.

Work Experience
B.Sc. (Science – Biology / Botany / Microbiology) with 1–2 years of experience in a microbiological or pathology lab. OR M.Sc. (Science – Biology / Botany / Microbiology) – Fresher can apply.
