Lab Technician

Our client, a well-known biotechnology and science company based in Dartford, close to the Dartford Tunnel area, is looking for a Laboratory Technician to work with them Monday to Friday on the 8am to 4pm shift. The starting hourly rate is £13.33 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Manufacture of intermediates and final reagents, including in-process testing.
Operation of semi-automated equipment for the dispensing and production of a range of products.
Handling of microorganisms for use in testing.
Monitoring of stock levels for products that you are manufacturing.
Be responsible for the quality of manufactured reagents, completed documentation, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Use of computerized systems for stock control monitoring to ensure items are available when needed.
Highlight any health and safety or quality issues to help support our site safety culture.
Engage in PPI (continuous improvement) programs as required.
Any other duties/projects that are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post holder.
Actively participate in training, which will be given for all processes carried out.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Interest in science and manufacturing.
Keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
Able to learn new skills and display them to a high standard.
