Job Summary
We are currently looking to hire an experienced Landscape Construction Technician and Operator for our spring/summer construction season, work starting full time approx. mid April (weather dependent). There is a very high potential to work intermittently until then with various tasks including snow removal as well.
The role of the Landscape Construction Technician and Operator is to assist in the grading and landscaping installation at single family homes or other commercial projects. While assisting on single family grade projects and commercial sites, the people in this role will work to ensure quality work and that the minimum grading production rates are being met.
A successful Landscape Construction Technician and Operator effectively utilizes available resources, including apps, software, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity. Additionally, the construction technician and grade operator actively participate in various landscaping tasks and equipment operations as necessary.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;
Shop/Yard and Equipment Responsibilities
• Deployment to their assigned project with the correct assigned equipment and materials.
• Support the crew lead in dispatching machines and equipment to other work sites as required.
• Assist with equipment maintenance as directed by the crew lead or senior team members.
• Ensure equipment is ready to be used on projects. Communicate any issues to the whole team and on the equipment channel on Slack.
Team Responsibilities
• Be an exemplary team member by working and supporting senior team members and other landscape technicians.
• Be open to learning opportunities and accept construction instructions onsite.
• Use opportunities that are made available to develop in regards to Landscaping and job education.
• Contributes to and understands the shop and site and job safety.
• Follow all required procedures (LMN Time, Keep Trucking, Slack and Site docs).
Project and Work Responsibilities
• Know and understand site plans for assigned construction projects.
• Assists in Evaluating job scope and plans accordingly.
• Stay up to date on deadlines and changes through Slack and senior employees and management.
• Contributes to team effort by assisting with other projects when needed.
• Assists with customer service by providing clear communication to management.
• Communicate clearly to management.
• Assists onsite as needed (no task is too small)

• Completes all safety requirements required by All Star Landscaping and specific customer requirements.
• Follows all safety procedures to ensure a safe, secure, and legally compliant work environment at the shop/yard, during travel and onsite.
• Maintains quality service by following quality and customer service standards,
Qualifications / Skills:
• Minimum 2 years experience completing grading.
• Intermediate skid steer skills, able to complete grading, tree planting or other tasks with machines in a timely manner with direction.
• Able to operate power tools, vehicles with and without trailers with instructions.
• Must maintain in good standing the following minimum ticket: WHMIS, recommended that the following tickets are also acquired: CSTS, First Aid, TDG, Load Securement, Skid Steer Training, Loader Training.
• Can read and understand Grading plans, Landscape drawings and other Architect drawings with instructions (can be taught onsite)
• Basic skills with landscape installation tasks which can include but not limited to planting, sod installation, soft and hard scape.

Education Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Certificates and tickets relevant to the Landscape industry.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
