Grand Cedar Aged Care is a 75 bed residential beds and is located in Ashwood, Victoria. We pride ourselves on delivering the best care for our residents and firmly believe that happy staff equates to happy residents.

About the Role ...

Laundry Assistants are valued team members who report to the Manager and provide Laundry Services for the home and our residents.

Laundry Assistants are responsible for providing a high standard laundry service in the residential aged care setting and work in a great broader team environment.

You are a highly organised energetic and self-motivated individual - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of teamwork with colleagues and empathy and compassion too.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:

Essential skills and competencies:

Laundry Assistant qualifications Certificate III or IV or/and significant experience in a similar position
Teamwork with colleagues
Effective communication skills
Friendly and positive personality
Working in an aged care setting
A passion for working in aged care
Computer skills
Understanding of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
Current police check Required
Working Rights (visa/Vevo +/or passport) Required
Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Highly Desirable
Covid vaccination Highly Desirable
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

An understanding of the Aged Care Standards, accreditation, continuous improvement requirements.
