Lead Installer / Estimator

Installation: Install windows and doors in accordance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. This includes removing old windows and doors, preparing the opening, ensuring proper insulation, and fitting and securing the new units.
Measurement and Layout: Accurately measure openings to ensure proper fitting of windows and doors. Perform layout and marking to guide installation, ensuring precise alignment and positioning.
Material Handling: Safely handle and transport windows and doors, including heavy and fragile materials, to and from the installation site. Ensure that all materials are handled and stored in a manner that prevents damage.
Sealing and Insulation: Apply appropriate sealing, caulking, and insulation materials to ensure proper weatherproofing, energy efficiency, and sound insulation. Ensure that all gaps are properly sealed to prevent air or water leaks.
Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure proper functionality, alignment, and finish. Address any issues or defects promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, both for personal safety and the safety of other team members, clients, and occupants of the installation site.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients before, during, and after installation. Address any questions or concerns, provide information on maintenance, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain tools and equipment required for installation, including power tools, hand tools, ladders, and safety gear.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including measurements, materials used, and any issues encountered. Provide documentation to project managers and clients as required.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to coordinate installation schedules, address challenges, and ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a finish carpenter or in a related field within the restoration industry.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
Window and Door Installers work both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions. The job may involve working at heights and using ladders. The role may require bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects. Installers may need to work on projects with tight deadlines, requiring flexibility in working hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
