Lead Driver / Mover

As driver a Driver/Mover, you will provide world class customer service experience in the handling of each customer’s possessions. This position provides a unique opportunity for those looking to combine general labour with their customer service talents.

Mover/Driver Job Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service as you safely move, pack and unpack customer belongings
Accurately complete pre and post-trip inspections and equipment checklists daily.
Provides feedback and best practices to the team on lifting techniques, customer service practices, safety standards, DOT processes, etc.
Trains new hires (assists with orientation when needed, on the job, and individually) and provides one on one coaching
Greet customer upon arriving at the specified location and complete a walk-through of the premises
Communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing; comfortably interface with customer
Reinforces team approach and supports and solicits input from team members at all levels
Accurately complete paperwork and payment collection when required
Mover/Driver Job Requirements:
Commitment to customer service excellence and exceeding the customer's expectations
Problem-solver in looking for ways to reduce damages, increase customer satisfaction scores and improve safety across franchise
Relentlessly positive attitude
Professional demeanour and ability to remain calm under pressure
Stamina to lift heavy items (100 lbs. or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
Strong logic and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of dollars, weight measurement, volume, distance and time)
Good hand-eye coordination
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Canadian driver's license (Class 5) and good driving record
Legally allowed to work in Canada

Light Truck & Delivery Drivers: 3 years (required)
