Legal Assistant level I (12-month contract)

The Junior Legal Assistant will have knowledge of tort law and court processes, and have the ability to handle confidential information with integrity, discretion and diplomacy. The daily duties of the job include but are not limited to:
- Managing charts and calendars.
- Drafting various correspondences.
- Scanning various documents.
- Preparing and updating Undertaking Charts.
- Preparing Medical Briefs and CDs.
- Preparing Affidavit of Documents and Trial Records.
- Preparing for and attending Team Meeting.
- Scheduling Examinations for Discovery.
- Scheduling Medical Assessments.
- Reviewing, requesting and serving various documents.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of tort law and court processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong command of the English language and superior communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Great adaptability skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.
- Proactive problem solving skills and possess excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
