Prestigious and growing San Diego personal injury law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney, ideally with 5+ years of experience, to assist in the handling of litigation claims. As a litigation attorney, you will be expected to manage an active caseload of cases in litigation (with the help of a support team), effectively work up cases, and negotiate settlements. Job Details

Responsibilities

As a Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
• Represent plaintiffs in court
• Argue motions, meet with judges, and manage an active caseload of civil and personal injury cases
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
• Gather evidence to formulate and initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
• Negotiate settlements
• Supervise legal assistants and junior attorneys, and delegate tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney position should have the following qualifications
• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar.
• 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Personal injury experience (plaintiff)
• Trial experience
• Spanish a plus
