Responsibilities
This position that has the responsibility of maintaining the operation of the boiler and also performs general maintenance tasks, under close supervision until qualified to perform each task independently
The general maintenance tasks may include, but are not limited to, correcting typical mechanical, fabrication, and low-voltage electrical problems,
Must be able to repair and/or change out augers on the boiler
Responsible for ordering saw dust as needed
Responsible for adding chemicals to boilers as needed
Perform weekly clean out of wood boiler
Must monitor all pressure gauges on a regular schedule
Perform basic electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic tasks, as directed by the Maintenance Lead
Perform fabrication tasks including, but not limited to, plasma cutting, oxyacetylene-cutting, welding, soldering, and brazing
Perform preventive maintenance tasks throughout the facility
Must be able to change out bearings, grease bearings, fan belts, and electric motors
Must be able to repair or change out conveyor belts
Other Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Read and understand work order requirements
Operate a genie boom and forklift
Empty all trash containers throughout the plant, as directed
Must supply own basic tools
Keep Boiler Room clean and organized
Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment
Must be available to work overtime, when required, (including on-call and weekends)
Perform other duties, as assigned by the Maintenance Lead
The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground-level and obstructed pathways

Physical Requirements

This position will require an employee to work in a factory environment. The site will contain mobility barriers with uneven ground-level and obstructed pathways. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site will be indoor/outdoor climate with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. The work environment characteristics described above are representative of what an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
