Under the general direction of the Major Recruitment Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and/or assisting with large scale
Trades Training, Technical Trainee, and other major recruitment (e.g., Professional Development Program, Customer Engagement
Centre, Summer Student) demonstrating a high level of initiative, discretion and customer service. You will regularly attend career
events throughout the province, and will contribute to, and participate in, various other recruitment functions and activities.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating and/or assisting with recruitment initiatives for assigned major Trades and Technology Training
programs (e.g., Power Line Trainee, Power Electrician/Mechanical Technician Trainee, Pre-placement, Operator Driver,
Natural Gas Service Person Trainee, Protection & Telecontrol programs) and other positions/programs as assigned (e.g.,
Customer Engagement Centre, Professional Development Training Programs, Summer Student Program, etc.)
Assist in candidate short listing, booking required travel/accommodations/selection activities, and administer aptitude testing
to candidates.
Arrange reference checks, personnel risk assessments, and extend offers of employment to selected applicants.
Coordinate preparation of the job offer, including wage and salary administration, and prepare letters of offer for selected
candidates.
Work as a strategic partner with Training Coordinators, line management and human resources staff to provide consultative
advice and expertise related to employment, such as diversity initiatives, use of e Recruitment, sourcing of candidates and
advertising strategies/options.

Coordinate, attend and deliver presentations at internally hosted recruitment events and represent the Enterprise at various
university, college and high school career fairs promoting Manitoba Hydro as an employer of choice.
Record, monitor and report detailed applicant information throughout the recruitment process and maintain accurate statistical
information for each recruitment initiative.
Conduct new employee orientation and on-boarding sessions, providing counseling on various benefit plan options, Corporate
policies, and terms of employment, as required.
Assist with Enterprise Recruitment administrative duties (e.g., assisting with job postings or responding to employment
inquiries from internal and external candidates), as required.
Qualifications:

Grade 12 graduation plus a minimum of four years related experience, including two years in a directly related Human
Resource capacity;
OR
Grade 12 graduation plus related Human Resources courses and a minimum of three years related experience, including one
year in a directly related Human Resource capacity.

Adaptable and flexible in responding to changes in the environment and business requirements.
Demonstrated initiative, independent judgement and the ability to prioritize work in a high activity environment.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and e-Recruitment.
Experience working in SAP HRMS would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
Willing to travel throughout the province and, at times, may be required to use a personal vehicle (expenses provided).
Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $30.30-$41.14 Hourly,
$58,055.+2-$78,837.20 Annually.
