Job Description:

A Quality Assurance Engineer at The Lee Company is broadly responsible for activities that support the Quality Management System and related Quality Objectives. A QAE at The Lee Company utilizes their diversified skillset to support the Quality Management System while driving Continuous Improvement. The specific role will have an emphasis on Supplier Quality.

Qualifications:
• B.S./A.S. degree in Engineering or similar discipline with at least three years related experience in quality control/quality assurance/manufacturing.
• Quality systems knowledge including ISO+001/AS+100/PPAPs
• Knowledge of gage calibration, SPC, geometric tolerancing, inspection methods, MRB, corrective action resolution, first article inspection and others.
• Experience with machining and/or other manufacturing operations and inspection

Key Responsibilities:
• Primary supplier contact for quality-related concerns
• Supports Purchasing and Planning with supplier delivery concerns
• Conducts initial evaluation of new suppliers
• Conducts periodic supplier evaluations
• When necessary conducts audits/evaluations at suppliers (up to 10% to 15% travel)
• Creates, monitors and shares supplier “scorecards”
• Maintains and reports monthly, annually, quarterly supplier performance metrics
• Reviews and approves FAIR inspection results
• Maintains supplier regulatory database (Reach, RoHS, CM, etc.)
• Approves all supplier-related NCMRs
• Maintains approval status of all suppliers
• Evaluates opportunities to optimize number of suppliers
