Position Overview

The University of San Diego is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Marketing and Event Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, coordinating events, and providing administrative support to the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute marketing initiatives to promote the career development center's services and programs.
• Coordinate logistics for major career development center events, including career fairs, networking events, panels, and mixers.
• Design and create marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, and online pieces to promote the department.
• Manage social media accounts, create weekly newsletters, and distribute targeted email marketing to specific groups.
• Collaborate with university marketing partners to ensure consistent messaging around career initiatives.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Social Media Platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter.
• Experience coordinating large events on a university campus.
• Experience with event management systems.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of Canva.
• Working knowledge of Photography, portrait lighting, and use of equipment.
• Working knowledge of Videography, interviewing, storytelling, and use of equipment.
• Working knowledge of video editing software, including Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with event management systems, including Salesforce and Handshake.
• Experience with email marketing tools, (TargetX, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent), experience with HTML a plus.
