Mechanical Assembly and Encapsulation Assembler

Company: Lotek Wireless is an award-winning Global company and world leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of fish and wildlife monitoring systems.

Opportunity: Lotek is currently looking for a Mechanical Assembly & Encapsulation Assembler for our Production Department. We seek a highly motivated individual capable of working in a team environment. This is an existing contract position for a period of 12 months.

Responsibilities:

Ability to do mechanical assembly and basic soldering with brief instruction and minimum supervision.
Experience in operating machines, use of mechanical/electrical tools and familiarity with epoxies are a definite asset.
Experience handling epoxies such as mixing, curing, applying, storing and its basic mechanical and chemical behaviors.
Comfortable with applying epoxy on small parts precisely and UV curing it under microscope.
Experienced using different materials such as epoxy and gasket to seal products from water penetration through external coating, potting it in tube or in mould.
Must work well with others, have a positive attitude, and have excellent vision and good hand eye coordination.

Comfortable sitting and working with hands for long periods of time.
Ability to use safely use equipment and tools.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Works well under deadlines and pressure.
You are a skilled and resourceful individual with a knack for fixing things and tackling a variety of tasks.
Experience collaborating with engineering teams on new product releases or development is a plus
