The Role

Join FUNLHN as the Medical Education Officer (MEO) and play a crucial role in advancing our commitment to medical education and workforce development. Building on our 2022 transition from the University of Adelaide's Rural Clinical School (ARCS), we are dedicated to sustaining and growing our junior doctor program within the region. As we seek greater autonomy in recruitment and focus on achieving accreditation, your role will be pivotal in driving these initiatives.

In this dynamic position, you will report to the Director of Clinical Training (DCT) while also liaising with the Nursing and Midwifery Advisor, reflecting the integrated nature of your responsibilities. You'll collaborate closely with the newly established Director of Clinical Training, Manager of Medical Workforce, and Medical Administration Assistant to enhance our educational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the planning, consultation, development, implementation, and evaluation of postgraduate education and training services tailored to FUNLHN.
Design and promote a high-quality educational experience for interns and junior doctors, including coordinating weekly teaching sessions and ensuring engaging and effective learning environments.
Identify and address issues affecting the well-being of junior doctors, ensuring a supportive and productive training experience.
Assist the DCT in securing and maintaining accreditation status with South Australian Medical Education and Training (SA MET), crucial for our continued success and growth.
This is your opportunity to influence the future of medical training and ensure that FUNLHN remains at the forefront of medical education excellence. If you are passionate about developing medical talent and enhancing educational experiences, we invite you to apply and make a significant impact in our medical education journey.
