Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation.
Roster: 4D/4N/8R (12-hour shifts)
Critical to the success of Fortescue’s operation of the Autonomous Haulage System (AHS), these roles are accountable for the execution of the Mine Plan using Command MineStar. Reporting to the AHS Mine Control Supervisor, you will be integral to the team that drive efficiencies and optimisation across the mine site.
Key Responsibilities
Maximising equipment productivity through efficient fleet management
Meeting and exceeding the mine production plan
Being the first point of contact for key stakeholders including AHS Builders, In-field Builders, Pit Supervision, Operators and Blend Co-ordinators
Ensuring a high level of data integrity using MineStar Fleet Management System
Effectively troubleshoot and diagnose stopped trucks and assignment issues in conjunction with the AHS Builder to solve these issues in a timely manner
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in front line Mine system control is advantageous
Previous control room experience (required for Experienced level role)
Heavy machine operator experience (required for Entry level role)
Proficiency in the operation of SCADA, Ardvarc or Caterpillars MineStar Command System is highly desirable
Intermediate computer literacy skills and a passion for Innovation and Technology
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work with several demanding priorities
Strong understanding of production strategies for large scale Mining Operations
