This position, reporting to the Director of Moving Services, manages and develops national removal operations to ensure they work together as a unified team.



About the Role



Your duties will be but are not limited to:



Be instrumental in the preparation and development of the operational budgets for each financial year in conjunction with Regional General Manager (RGM)
Plan and direct, in conjunction with the National Service Delivery Manager, an “Operational Standard of Service” which is implemented nationally
Work to develop continuous productivity improvements while ensuring cost control is maintained and customer service are being delivered at the highest level.
Develop and use effective tools to analyse and measure labour performance of transport and warehouse. Report to Branch Manager on additional or reduced labour trends due to service activity.
Ensure regular and open communications with the company directors. Ensure weekly updates and reporting is on time and ensure all operational KPI’s are met
Hold regular informative meetings with operational management to discuss the performance, results and development within their Region and keep informed Branch Managers and Regional General Managers on issues and outcomes within their branch/region
Develop and implement a standard KPI matrix with statistical data relating to performance for all branches with routine reporting periods
Have knowledge of and if necessary, provide support to customer’s operational queries at all levels
Motivate, manage, discipline and control all staff who report to you to meet the requirements of all company policies and procedures.


About You



At least 5 years’ experience in managing Removals Operations
Ability to work in a matrix team environment.
Previous experience in contract negotiations and managing supply contracts.
Ability to extract and analyse data and formulate data-based improvement plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and leadership skills and the ability to prioritise, meet details and manage multiple tasks
Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel.
Willingness to travel interstate
