Purpose of Position
- The job incumbent is responsible for the business development for Industry & Facilities products
in the strategic markets & architecting sales strategies and initiatives in the Food business across
South Asia Region.
- He / she performs the job within the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, the Code of
Ethics and the BV Group policies.
Major Responsibilities
- Establishes sales strategies to develop business in his/ her market through a deep understanding
of the client’s business needs in this market
- Manages (functionally or operationally) one or several account managers of the market sector
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets. Oversee the sales team to ensure
targets and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with team to set objectives and monitor
progress regularly
- Ensure competent resources are recruited, set objectives, train and coach, and monitor
performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled
- Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them
- Work closely with the Leadership and Regional Teams to drive a trusting, inclusive, and productive
environment to deliver strategic initiatives, while fostering a team environment where people are
accountable for safety and wellbeing.
- Perform research and identify new potential customers, new market opportunities and new
trends ahead of the curve, offering a competitive advantage in the market.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
- Is directly in charge of at least one major account of the market or of the most innovative
opportunities
- Develop strong network and relationships with the external partners and consumers as well as
internal stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of the sales functions for Food business.
- Defines Marketing actions to be launched (events, mailings, newsletters), develops specific
documents for his/her market, and coordinates with marketing teams to produce the material.
