Wessex Fine Chemicals has been an importer and distributor of active pharmaceutical ingredients to medicine manufacturers in the UK since 1++4. We are actively sourcing pharmaceutical raw materials from over 70 suppliers worldwide. We seek someone to join our small team to help with regulated office admin and logistics. We need an accurate administrator who cares about detail.
Job Overview:
This is an on-site role for an Admin/Logistics Assistant at our office in Ashford, Kent. The role will involve document preparation and daily liaising with suppliers, customers and logistics partners. Full or Part time position available; Salary from £22,000
Responsibilities:
• Creating and managing documentation per SOPs
• Carrying out routine logistics activities associated with Incoterms 2020
• Liaising with suppliers and customers to monitor and update shipment details
• Working with logistic partners for customs clearance for sea, air and road imports and arranging deliveries
• Provide support to the commercial team
• Ensuring accurate entry of data into our systems
• Following guidelines and maintaining compliance with Good Distribution Practice
• General office admin duties as required
Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in standard Microsoft Office suite applications
• Ability to work accurately and quickly and follow detailed instructions
• Any familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry, GDP, shipping, international trade, Incoterms 2020, would be a significant plus but is not required as full training will be given
Office hours: +-5 Monday to Thursday, +-3 Friday
