Experience: 10–15 years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc/M.Sc in Chemistry

(Preference for candidates from Central Electrochemical Research Institute – Karaikudi)

Must have: Electro Plating

Job Description:

A leading manufacturer with an integrated facility focused on electroplating, machining, and high-quality component manufacturing is seeking an experienced Operations Head to oversee its production plant operations.

The facility comprises two integrated units with common utilities and focuses on electroforming (Nickel & Nickel-Cobalt), VMC machining, zinc plating, and manufacturing of automotive, defence, and industrial components.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end plant operations: production, planning, quality, materials, maintenance, HR, and industrial relations.

Drive daily shop floor activities for electroplating and component production.

Propose investment plans aligned with business growth and production needs.

Recruit, train, and manage a multidisciplinary team to support operational excellence.

Translate customer and market needs into actionable product and process strategies.

Implement lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

Track and resolve production non-conformances and customer complaints.

Ensure adherence to all statutory and compliance standards.

Establish and enforce quality systems like ISO +001, IATF 16+4+, and ISO 14001.

Candidate Profile:

10–15 years of plant/factory management experience, ideally in electroplating and precision manufacturing.

Strong techno-commercial acumen and leadership capabilities.

Mandatory expertise in electroplating processes.

Hands-on experience managing HR, Admin, IR, and cross-functional teams.

Proficient in Quality Management Systems and problem-solving via a systems-driven approach.
