Operations Manager

CR Smith is a dynamic sales, manufacturing and installation organisation of custom-made windows, doors and living spaces products and services. These services include our dedicated repair and maintenance division, known as FIX from CR Smith.

Due to exceptional growth, we are now looking for an experienced, Operations Manager to become part of our rapidly growing FIX, repair and upgrade team, with opportunities to develop throughout our wider business.

FIX can repair and upgrade window, door and conservatory products from any manufacturer or supplier, regardless of who fitted them. Working in domestic properties, schools, hospitals, hotels and all forms of commercial properties, this is a truly unique opportunity to be involved in a growing market, where you can develop and significantly grow your earnings and experience in the process.

You will be responsible for:
• Planning and managing labour, material and costs to ensure contracts are carried out safely, on time and to the highest standard.
• Conducting quality and safety audits in accordance with our management system.
• Managing improvements in health and safety.
• Site management and resource management.
• Providing ongoing training to ensure all repairs and maintenance services are carried out to our unique details.
• Coaching and mentoring colleagues to support their continuous development.
• Liaising with our supply chain to consistently improve quality and logistics systems to maximise output and productivity.

We are looking for an Operations Manager with natural people management skills, who is not afraid to lead from the front and can work as part of a wider team. This could be someone coming from an operational management, commercial management or project management role within the construction or building industry who has the ability to transfer their skills.

It is preferred but not essential for candidates to be educated to degree standard, preferably in a construction or engineering discipline and experience in the management of health and safety
