We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced **Hotel Front Office Manager** at the Norwood Hotel.
The Norwood has always been an innovative leader in the hotel industry. The Norwood Hotel has an interesting and diverse history dating back to the latter part of the 1800’s. The earliest records available indicate a photograph of the hotel in 18+5. In 1+37, the Hotel came under the ownership of the late Merle Sparrow and has been operated by the Sparrow family ever since. This longevity in ownership makes the Norwood the oldest operated family hotel in Manitoba and one, if not the oldest in all of Western Canada.
• *Position Overview**:
The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations at the Front Desk, including Night Audit. The Front Office Manager will have excellent communication skills with staff, managers and guests and will be an effective leader of superior guest service skills and the technicalities of all positions at the Front Desk. The Front Office Manager should have a good working knowledge of the hotel industry and be proactive in seeking out potential problems, staffing or guest concerns and provide effective solutions to benefit the hotel and its guests.
• *Duties**:
- Oversee the daily operations of the entire Front Desk and Night Audit.
- Oversee Payroll and staff scheduling.
- Hiring and creating training plans for new staff onboarding.
- Maintain all Hotel and Front Office policies and procedures.
- Oversee the development of upsell programs.
- Responsible for creating and amending Front Office Procedures accordingly.
- Maintain employee evaluations and corrective action plans with supporting documentation with the assistance of Human Resources.
- Assist in developing strategies to maximize revenue for hotel.
- Manage and troubleshoot the two-way interface status, rate cross reference tables.
- Strategically Manage yields in PMS
- Oversee uniform maintenance and ordering.
- Responsible for handling unresolved problems, guest concerns, accounting errors.
- Other Duties as assigned.
• *What you bring to the table**:
- At least 3+ Years as a Hotel Front Desk Manager/Supervisor
- Previous Front Desk Agent experience in a fast-paced Hotel setting
- Previous experience using Maestro is considered an asset.
- French Speaking is considered an asset.
- Positive and hardworking attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
- The ability to stay focused in a high volume, fast paced industry and ensure accuracy and procedures are followed.
• *Salary**: $43,000.00-$46,000.00 per year

Job Description
Fairmont Gold is the pinnacle of first class service at the Fairmont Winnipeg. The Fairmont Gold Agent will ensure flawless service to all guests as they arrive, depart, and during they stay, including the services offered in the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
What you will be doing:
• Oversees all aspects of guest service in the daily operation of Fairmont Gold, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction at all times.
• Provides exceptional concierge information to our guests and continuously updates iconcierge program to ensure current and relevant information provided.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with guests to ensure Fairmont Gold Loyalty and handles all daily Fairmont Gold comments and proactively resolve any concerns.
• Inspects Gold guestrooms daily for cleanliness and maintenance issues including completion of housekeeping audits, turndown and occupied rooms cleaning audits.
• Monitors the maintenance of the physical Gold product.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years, hotel concierge experience.
• Must have a proven record of exceeding guest expectations and commitment to guest service.
• Self-Motivating with the initiative and ability to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.
• Great organizational skills with a proven ability to work under pressure.
• Diploma or degree in hospitality Management is an asset.
• Knowledge of a second language and its application in the hotel / hospitality industry an asset.
