Payroll Tax Accountant

Job description
Adecco is seeking a highly motivated Payroll Tax Accountant to join our client’s team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for researching and responding to payroll tax notices, mapping tax authorities, auditing tax setups, responding to teammate inquiries, validating year-end reports, and organizing payroll tax files. This role offers competitive compensation ($25.50/hour) over an 8 month contract period.

What You'll Do:
• Research payroll tax notices in NoticeNinja and respond to tax authorities
• Map new tax authorities in Workday and ADP SmartCompliance
• Audit local tax setup and correct as needed
• Respond to teammate inquiries on tax-related questions
• Validate Year End reports between ADP and Workday
• Organize payroll tax-related files on the network

Requirements:
• 3+ years of Payroll Accounting experience
• Knowledge of payroll tax calculations
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Payroll customer service experience
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) preferred.
• Experience with Workday and ADP SmartCompliance is a plus!
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
