Our State Government Client, is seeking a proactive HR Advisor VPS 4 to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment and support key HR functions.

As an HR Advisor, you will prioritise tasks, provide expert policy advice, and support HR operations to achieve organisational goals. Your role will enhance team culture, manage on boarding procedures, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prioritise and Deliver: Manage tasks and work flow to meet organisational priorities with high standards of performance and integrity.
Expert Advice: Provide timely and consistent policy advice using your knowledge of workplace relations and industrial instruments.
Team Culture: Contribute to a positive and high-performing team environment.
Support HR Operations: Assist with on boarding, employment movements, and HR system updates.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements and assist in governance processes.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and escalate trends for improvement to enhance employee experience and leader self-efficacy.
Community Engagement: Represent the client positively to build knowledge and awareness of environmental protection laws.
Problem Solving: Use new tools and powers to drive continuous improvement.
Key Selection Criteria:

Experience and Qualifications:

Relevant studies in human resources or related fields are desirable.
Government recruitment and on boarding experience preferred.
Advanced user of HCM platforms (e.g., Success Factors, Oracle) is a plus.
Skills and Attributes:

Strong information management skills.
Positive, solution-oriented customer service approach.
Ability to apply government legislation and regulations.
Knowledge of environmental regulations is a bonus.
Capabilities:

Proven project and task management skills.
Track record of contributing to organisational excellence and team success.
Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively.
Innovative and eager to learn and make a difference.
