Portfolio Accountant
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Portfolio Accountant to join our financial operations team in our NYC office. This role is responsible for accounting functions related to a family office’s diversified investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of portfolio accounting practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and senior leadership.

Responsibilities and Duties
General ledger accounting for multiple entity investment portfolio.
Reconcile bank & investment account statements to general ledger.
Monitor and assist with processing capital call and distribution notices for various fund investments.
Assist with preparation, review and organization of legal and financial documents (investment agreements, NDAs, entity formation documentation, trust and estate planning materials).
Assist with preparation of annual financial reports for the portfolio.
Prepare documentation and support schedules for annual tax return preparation & compliance.
Assist with preparation of various financial schedules.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Certified Public Accountant or working towards CPA certification.
2-4 years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Nexus, Avid, Sage or similar systems).
Strong Excel and technology skills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compensation
$95k-$105K ( bonus eligible position)
