About you

You’re an enthusiastic and experienced Account Manager with approximately 3-5 years of experience in either agency, in-house or within media. Please note, communications experience is required.



You’re a natural storyteller and writer, with strong media relations expertise, who is able to drive communication strategies and media programs for clients across the healthcare industry.



You are a team player who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and has purpose to create positive impact for our clients and public health.



Overall, you should display a passion for health, sophisticated knowledge of the Australian media landscape, an understanding of the healthcare environment and a desire to do good for the patients and healthcare professionals our clients support.





About the role

Supported by senior health comms pros, you will manage the day-to-day activity of retainer and project-based clients.



You will project manage integrated communications campaigns, which will include client liaison, strategy and content development, and execution across owned, earned and paid channels.



We are looking for someone with strong traditional media relations skills who can craft creative pitches and smart strategies to secure coverage.



In this fast-paced environment, your ability to multitask and manage competing priorities is crucial. We expect you to bring your unique perspective, contributing bold and creative ideas. You will independently build positive and long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues while also mentoring junior team members, including Account Executives and Interns.





Your responsibilities

A solid understanding of the healthcare industry, code of conduct and the latest insights and trends relevant to the health sector
Content development skills, including the ability to develop and guide integrated communication strategies, supported by senior colleagues
Stakeholder engagement skills, including HCPs, PAGs, and healthcare clients
Competent in all forms of communications writing and services including superior editing skills
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Strong media relations skills and management of media relationships
Able to build trust with key internal and external stakeholders
Responsible for delivering client service that is consistent with WE’s standards, including day-to-day management of accounts
Responsible for the management of client account budgets, with support from senior colleagues
Contribute to the development of junior staff through mentorship, coaching and training
Share agency vision with the team and advocate team’s/clie
