About the role:

The Principal Clinical Adviser supports the work of the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist to facilitate the provision of high quality and responsive public mental health services. The position provides leadership, clinical, operational and policy advice to the Chief Psychiatrist and responds to issues raised by mental health consumers, carers, clinicians, service providers and other stakeholders. The position supports the strategic leadership and clinical safety and quality functions of the OCP to meet statutory obligations in accordance with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.

About you:

Demonstrated Experince of the clinical mental Health service system
Poesses a high level of understanding of the relevant legislations, policy frameworks
Strategic thinker and business enabler with a governance mindset
Qualified health professional with clinical experience of the mental health sector with a current senior clinical, administration or management role
