Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinating negotiation meetings.
• Regular monitoring of purchase functions.
• Ensuring quality of materials; taking product feedback from departments.
• Coordinating between vendors and departments.
• Participating actively in teaching and training subordinates.
• Coordinating with end-users for any feedback and complaints and taking remedial measures.
• Any other responsibilities entrusted by the Corporate Office

Required knowledge: The candidate should be updated with the domain knowledge and be capable of communicating developments to department heads; should be aware of material usage pattern.

Required skills: The candidate must have good domain knowledge, along with good supervisory and communication skills.

Education, experience and formal training: Graduate (B.Sc)/B. Pharmacy, with a minimum of 7 years experience in Purchase in a reputed hospital.

Role complexity: The job demands good coordination skills to ensure appropriate purchase process.

Interpersonal skills: The candidate should have good interpersonal and behavioural skills as he/she will be directly in contact with unit heads, doctors, vendors and other associates.

Supervisory skills: Good scope for supervision as the job requires monitoring purchase transactions on a daily basis.

Independent judgment: The candidate can take judgment within the framework of polices and procedures.

Leadership responsibilities: Leadership includes supervising, motivating and coordinating skills.

Impact and consequences of errors: Errors can result in financial loss as well as delay in availability of materials.

Working conditions: The role requires coordination and communication across the units.
