Job Title: Production & Planning Engineer

Qualification: B.E./B .Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all stages of production to ensure timely delivery, resource optimization, and adherence to quality standards. The role involves close coordination with design, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute production plans as per project and delivery schedules.
Monitor daily production activities and ensure targets are achieved.
Coordinate with design, purchase, and quality teams for material and resource availability.
Review drawings and specifications to plan manpower, machinery, and material requirements.
Optimize production processes for efficiency, cost, and quality improvement.
Track work-in-progress (WIP) and update management on production status.
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
Maintain records of production data, process parameters, and reports.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of production processes, fabrication, and assembly operations.
Knowledge of capacity planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, or ERP-based planning systems.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
Familiarity with ISO/5S/Lean manufacturing practices preferred.

Achievement of production targets and delivery timelines.
Reduction in downtime and production delays.
Optimal utilization of manpower and resources.
Reduction in rework and wastage.
On-time material availability and workflow coordination.
