Production Engineer

1. Production Planning and Scheduling
• Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands.
• Coordinate with different departments (e.g., procurement, inventory, quality control) to ensure the availability of raw materials and resources.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to address changes in demand or production delays.
• Ensure the optimal utilization of resources and capacity.

2. Process Optimization and Efficiency Improvement
• Responsibilities:
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
• Conduct root cause analysis of production inefficiencies or delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Streamline workflows to ensure smooth transitions between production stages.
• Evaluate and implement lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to eliminate waste.

3. Quality Control and Assurance
• Responsibilities:
• Oversee quality standards and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Work with quality control teams to monitor product quality and ensure it meets specifications.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify that production processes and products conform to internal and external standards.
• Implement corrective actions for any quality defects, ensuring consistent production of high-quality products.

4. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability
• Responsibilities:
• Ensure that production equipment is maintained and serviced regularly to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for machinery and production tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with production equipment to ensure continuous operations.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new machinery and production lines.

5. Resource Management
• Responsibilities:
• Manage and optimize the use of raw materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure that inventory levels of materials are maintained to meet production targets without excess stock.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
• Track and manage consumables and non-consumables used in the production process.

6. Safety and Compliance
• Responsibilities:
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensure that production processes adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and drills to mitigate workplace hazards.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness among production staff.

7. Cost Control and Budget Management
• Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.
• Collaborate with finance teams to prepare and track budgets for production operations.
• Analyze cost variances and report them to senior management.

8. Team Coordination and Supervision
• Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage production teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Train, guide, and develop team members to improve their skills and productivity.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
• Foster teamwork and effective communication across departments involved in production.

+. Production Reporting and Documentation
• Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure timely reporting to management.
• Track production metrics such as output, efficiency, downtime, and quality.
• Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for improvements.
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update them as necessary.

10. New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with product design teams for the smooth transition of new products into the production process.
• Assist in prototype testing and scale-up for new product manufacturing.
• Ensure the production process is capable of producing new products at the required volume and quality.
• Implement changes to existing production systems for new product lines.

11. Environmental Sustainability
• Responsibilities:
• Ensure that production processes comply with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
• Explore and implement eco-friendly alternatives in production processes.
• Manage waste and disposal processes, minimizing environmental impact.
• Promote resource conservation (e.g., water, energy) in production operations.

12. Collaboration with Other Departments
• Responsibilities:
• Work closely with R&D, design, and other departments to optimize product designs for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Support sales and marketing teams by meeting customer order specifications and timelines.
• Liaise with supply chain management to optimize production and distribution.

13. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
• Responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the production process.
• Suggest and implement new technologies or processes that can enhance productivity and quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
• Encourage and lead innovation within the production team to keep pace with market demands.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
