We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the steel manufacturing industry.
Job Overview:
As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production and timely delivery of our steel products. You will be responsible for coordinating schedules, managing production timelines, and maintaining communication between various departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders and production capacity.
Collaborate with production, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure alignment of schedules.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to minimize delays.
Ensure timely communication of any changes in scheduling to relevant teams and stakeholders.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and parts.
Maintain accurate records of production schedules and related data.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure accurate order processing and delivery timelines.
Identify potential scheduling conflicts and work proactively to resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
About you:
Previous experience in a scheduling or production planning role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Customer and client relationship management
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of steel manufacturing processes and terminology is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and scheduling software (ERP systems experience is preferred).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
