Overview

The Production Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the manufacturing processes and ensuring that production runs efficiently and according to company standards. They are responsible for coordinating and supervising the production team to meet production targets, maintain quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the production team to ensure daily production targets are met
• Implement and monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet changing demands
• Oversee the quality control processes to ensure products meet company standards
• Train and mentor production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all production staff
• Communicate with management to report on production status, issues, and improvements
• Identify and resolve production problems to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve production processes and reduce costs
• Monitor and control expenses within the production department
• Manage inventory levels to ensure continuous production without shortages or overages
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new production staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to production team members
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to optimize production processes
• Stay informed about industry trends and implement best practices to improve production efficiency

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Proven experience as a production supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a strong focus on team building and development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and sound decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with production staff and management
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• In-depth knowledge of production processes, standards, and regulations
• Proficient in using production management software and tools
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Ability to analyze data and use it to improve production efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as necessary to oversee production schedules
• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines
