High level leadership, conceptualisation and design of programs comprising multiple large scale, complex and high-risk projects.
High level program/project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful program outcomes.
Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor multiple multi-disciplinary program and project teams.
Demonstrated experience in managing a major program budget.
High level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
High level knowledge and application of program and project management methodologies.

To be successful in this role your experience should include expertise in:

Oversee the successful delivery of a significant Program comprising multiple large-scale, complex and high-risk projects usually involving IM and/or ICT components
Ensure that the program of work set out in the work breakdown structure includes necessary and sufficient activities that will create deliverables that conform to requirements
Lead, manage or direct an expert team of multi-disciplinary project directors, project managers (various levels) and other project staff
Ensure Project Directors, Principal Project Managers and Senior Project Managers undertake appropriate planning, budgeting, project management, reporting, consultation and risk management so that component projects are integrated, duplication of effort is avoided, and any risks and conflicts are proactively addressed by taking the necessary remedial and corrective action.
Direct the effective use of departments formal project management approach
Consult and undertake high-level, strategic negotiations with, provide expert advice to, and develop and maintain strong, effective alliances and working relationships with project teams, program sponsors and internal and external stakeholders
Proactively oversee the monitoring and reporting of program-related trends, and manage, monitor and progress reporting of assigned projects within the program against the project plan(s) and budget(s)
