Salary relative to experience and ranges from $101,850 to $112,530 + Super
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer to join our Accreditation and Training team in the Assurance and Biodiversity Stewardship Branch. The role is part of a new team being established to work on improvements to the Accredited Assessor Scheme.
The Project Officer role will be working in a small team focusing on improving aspects of the accredited assessor scheme within the Biodiversity Offset Scheme. The role will undertake a range of projects, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the reset team. An understanding of the current biodiversity offset scheme, and knowledge of compliance and/or auditing processes would be advantageous in this role.
About You
Key knowledge and experience:
Sound demonstrated knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for the successful delivery of programs in the context of current policy and legislative frameworks
Assist in developing project plans and deliverables aimed at improving the accreditation scheme and key aspects of it
Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to develop understanding of common issues and areas for improvement
Assist in developing and implementing operational policies, processes, guidelines and procedures to support the project outcomes
assist in identifying internal and external customer needs for operational policies and guidelines
