Job Title: Senior Python developer

Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled software developer to lead the implementation of a previously designed proxy layer that allows product engineering teams at abcd to make API calls to invoke external AI models like OpenAI (phase 1) and internal abcd models (phase 2). This role requires individuals who can transform design into functional, efficient, and secure code.

Responsibilities
• Understand and review the proxy layer design and associated requirements.
• Implement the proxy layer, emphasizing security, scalability, and low-latency performance.
• Integrate authentication, authorization, and logging mechanisms.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated functional tests.
• Collaborate with our engineering and product teams during the integration phase.
• Draft concise documentation, ensuring clarity on implementation details and usage.
• Address and rectify any arising issues during the development and post-deployment phases.

Mandatory:

1. Cloud Platforms: Development experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, especially with serverless architectures.

2. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern languages such as Python, Go, or Java.

3. API Implementation: Proven track record of implementing and scaling RESTful APIs.

4. Security Protocols: Familiarity with API security practices.

5. Version Control & CI/CD: Proficient in Git and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
