The Bureau is seeking an experienced, senior Quality and Business Improvement Lead to partner with the Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) Program, overseeing business improvement and transformation initiatives that drive operational excellence.
This position is within the Data and Digital Group (DDG) in the OSO Program. Working as an embedded resource in the Observing Systems Support and Transformation Section, this role will provide strategic advice and lead continuous improvement and quality initiatives, to support operational excellence and enable the OSO Program's operating model.
The role is responsible for leading the design, delivery and embedding of new processes, ensuring key stakeholders are consulted and informed of changes and implementation plans and will support strategic programs of work driven from inside and outside the OSO Program.
The Quality and Business Improvement Lead will often work with subject matter experts responsible for the development, design, installation or maintenance of observations technology, drawing on their experience and knowledge.
The role will also work closely with customer engagement teams in Business Solutions Group and Community Services Group to inform and support customer conversations relating to observations technology and customer agreements.
Regardless of tasks or specialisation, the role may be tasked with additional relevant duties at the appropriate level.
To be successful you will have:
Experience providing and presenting strategic advice to senior leadership teams
Demonstrated experience in understanding, developing or implementing successful transformation initiatives, particularly in relation to a large, diversified workforce and technology.
Proven ability to work within a team environment, to work with people, and driving innovation
Proven ability to problem solve and achieve positive outcomes
Excellent communication and liaison skills
Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of coordination and reporting skills
Enthusiasm and drive
