A leading creative agency based in Melbourne is seeking a QA Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality, innovative mobile and digital experiences. This agency is known for its boundary-pushing software development and marketing technology, partnering with top brands to create engaging and technically sophisticated solutions.
This role is perfect for a Mobile QA Engineer with extensive mobile testing experience who thrives on ensuring flawless digital products. You'll focus heavily on testing mobile applications, ensuring they perform seamlessly across different devices and operating systems.
You’ll work on a day to day basis with tools like Appium (Webdriver.io) or Detox to automate testing and will be responsible for identifying performance issues, debugging mobile functionality, and maintaining automated test suites. Prior experience in end-to-end mobile testing, UI/UX validation, and performance benchmarking is essential.
The role is based in Melbourne, with a hybrid work model requiring three days in the studio per week.
Responsibilities
Own the mobile testing process, ensuring mobile applications work seamlessly across various devices and OS versions.
Execute both manual and automated mobile testing, focusing on usability, functionality, performance, and accessibility.
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium (Webdriver.io) or Detox for mobile applications.
Perform regression, integration, and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility across Android and iOS platforms.
Identify, log, and track bugs, collaborating closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently.
Enhance test automation frameworks and optimize existing testing processes.
Stay up to date with mobile testing best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve QA strategies.
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience in mobile testing with a strong focus on Appium (Webdriver.io) or Detox.
Proven expertise in functional, integration, and cross-device testing for native mobile apps.
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mobile application defects.
Experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of mobile performance testing and identifying areas for optimization.
Web automation testing experience (Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium WebDriver) is a plus.
Understanding of accessibility testing and compliance standards is advantageous.
Familiarity with CMS platforms (Sitecore, Adobe AEM, Contentful) is a bonus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document and articulate issues clearly.
