Norwest Private Hospital is seeking passionate and experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses – Scrub Scout, Anaesthetic and Recovery to join our Perioperative team on a casual basis.

Our Department
Our Operating Theatre complex has 16 theatres, 32 first stage recovery bays as well as an additional 32 second stage chairs. Our specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Robotics, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Vascular surgery.

Your Responsibilities
Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team including the Surgical Consultant, Fellows, Registrar, and Allied Health to achieve excellence in patient's clinical outcomes and hospital experience
Ensure patient and staff safety
Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the patient
Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology
Requirements
Current Registration with AHPRA
Minimum 3 years' experience as an RN in a perioperative setting
Experience in Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Cardiothoracic and Orthopaedic (Desirable)
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Commitment to quality patient care
Works independently and within a team
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
