As a Risk Operations Specialist, you will review fraud alerts, service requests, and account activity to identify potential fraud. Using various tools — including customer contact, account analysis, and online resources — you’ll investigate suspicious activity, prevent losses, and educate customers on security best practices. You’ll analyse data, review documentation, and make timely decisions, often requiring direct communication with customers. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, adaptability, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Support the reporting and monitoring of metrics and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) at both product line and divisional levels.
Review assigned account queues, assess account legitimacy and risk level, and apply appropriate restrictions or dismissals based on findings.
Continuously monitor cases and reports to identify emerging trends, and proactively report findings to management.
Detect and investigate unusual account activities to prevent or stop suspicious transactions.
Contact account holders to verify activities and mitigate potential losses.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Risk Management, Data Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
Knowledge or experience in cryptography is a plus.
Strong decision-making skills, particularly in discretionary, research-based evaluations.
Ability to handle multiple queues and tasks simultaneously, demonstrating urgency and thorough follow-through.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software tools and technologies.
Bilingual English/Mandarin is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
Experience or knowledge in SQL/Datawind is a plus.
