As a highly skilled Liability Underwriter, you will be responsible for writing Liability risks within the Construction sector, specifically for Roofers & Scaffolders. This is a rapidly growing area for our client, with a 20% year-on-year increase in business and a wealth of broker enquiries.
Using your technical expertise, you will focus on underwriting new and renewal Liability risks with premiums averaging around £5,000. Your primary goal will be to generate good profit and healthy loss ratios across your account while developing your technical skills and staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes.
This is a remote-based role with a high degree of flexibility. You will be required to attend regional offices occasionally to meet colleagues, but you are welcome to attend more regularly if desired.
To succeed in this position, you will need strong negotiation skills, a flexible approach to underwriting, and the ability to develop new broker relationships or bolster existing ones. You will also be responsible for promoting Group products in the market through meetings with brokers either in person or virtually.
The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £60,000, plus a highly lucrative bonus and a range of benefits including 4 X DIS, free family travel insurance, and subsidised gym memberships.
